We have decided that flying is pretty much the worst method of transportation. We're sticking to road trips from now on. After getting ordered around, patted down, body scanned, stripped of most of our constitutional rights, and bounced around through various layers of our earth's atmosphere, we touched down in Detroit... Only to leave again a few minutes later towards Flint, Michigan.
It's a long story involving FAA/TSA regulations, a highly misinformed Delta employee, and two very frustrated travelers (us), but if you think about it right, Delta essentially paid us somewhere between 500 and 800 dollars just to not get off the plane in Detroit and to make an extra flight to Flint. Maybe the Flint airport is really desperate for planes to land there and employ their bored luggage handlers and taxi drivers.
Anyway, Haley & her roommate Zac graciously picked us up in Flint, and we are now cozy once more in their awesome huge house.
Today, we head across our last border into Canada!
