toulouse, then home

We've made it back to Montreal with sore feet and jet lag aplenty. It's been a bit of a shock not to have our every need taken care of, and the fridge was suddenly not stocked with the finest French cheeses and meats, but it's nice to be home.

On Saturday, R. & R. drove us to Toulouse, and we all spent the day there, visiting the Musée des Augustins (beaux arts), the Saint-Sernin cathedral, and the Abattoirs modern art museum. We stopped for a casual lunch of charcuterie, foie gras, fresh bread, grilled asparagus, local salad, and some of the best french fries I've ever eaten, and we still managed to save room for a pizza dinner.

Snap and I stayed at an airport hotel for the night and woke up early to catch the flight home (which, by the way, left us at 3-for-4 on screaming airplane babies). Everything (mostly) went off without a hitch!
