We had a nice train ride back west to Bratislava and arrived in the afternoon. Our airbnb here, a simple apartment in a high-rise north of town, feels swanky after the quirky, slightly grungy Budapest place with its stone flooring - jagged, uneven stones that would have made more sense in a backyard pathway than inside an apartment. (We did love that place, though.)
We walked down to the old city for dinner at Krumpla. The menu said you could order a half-krumpla or a whole krumpla. We both got whole krumpla; B's had pulled pork and mine had bacon and a traditional Slovakian sheep cheese called bryndza. The krumpla were delicious.
We took no photos.
Glad to know you made it okay.
