Philly Pros

Our pal Corey just relocated to Philadelphia last week, and invited us to stop by his huge, fancy, empty apartment. So we did! I didn't think we'd have any time to actually get a feel for the city, but in the end we were pretty much Philly Pros overnight.

So much cool art deco (or is it art nouveau?) architecture!
Love Park
Cool buildings downtown. There was a big hubbub here because they were in the midst of using a helicopter to remove giant letters from the top of one of the skyscrapers in the background here. Sounds more exciting than it was?
Corey, CLB, Dickens, and Lil' Nell hangin' in West Philly's Clark Park

We headed out about lunchtime and crossed the Mason-Dixon line before supper! And guys, it feels really good to be back in the South. Humid air, wide, slow rivers, happy people with fun accents...

Shenandoah R.

Our first stop was in Bridgewater, Va. to see Tom and Mary Alice, my uncle's parents. It was great to see them again. We went out for dinner and thoroughly enjoyed their company.

Now we're headed further south into the Carolinas! Aiming to eat BBQ and get to Charleston tonight. I want to see the ocean!
