At the end of the last post, CLB promised pictures of Atlanta, but I'm sorry to report that there are none! We were having too much fun being spoiled rotten by my aunt and uncle, as well as recovering on the sleep that the broken air conditioner in Charleston robbed of us. Nevertheless, we had a great time catching up, sampling excellent tacos in Smyrna, and sneaking carrots to Moose and Molly, their cute dogs.
| We did snap this pic of Moose's hilarious carrot response. |
Next, we headed north through Tennessee, stopping for roadside fruit...
| Watermelon, like me, is very American. |
We got to Murray, Kentucky, around dinnertime on Thursday and got taken out to dinner by Haley's lovely family. We slept our most peaceful night of sleep yet out at their farm property a few miles out of town.

Once Haley appeared the next morning, having driven down all the way from Detroit, we had a fun time touring almost all of the
top 7 must-see Murray sights with her and her mother Leah.
| At the arboretum! |
| Honorary must-see sight number 8: the Murray Lumber yard, run by Haley's dad! |
| Scooping up nails the old-fashioned way... |
| CLB makes a new friend. |
| Beccah's happy place. |
| Hot fudge milkshakes, corn dogs, cheeseburgers, crinkle fries. *sigh* I miss it already. |
| Kentucky lake - Beccah's other happy place. |
| Sunset on the lake. I mean... right?! This could be your happy place too. |
The Harts then treated us to a second dinner out in a row -- this one was the ultimate western Kentucky experience! I'm still feeling excited about it, 24 hours later.
| Fried catfish, hushpuppies, "broasted" potatoes, (sweet) onion rings, coleslaw. |
| "Broasted" chicken thighs, mashed potatoes and gravy, coleslaw, biscuits. |
We're still in Kentucky for another day or two and will have more photos to post soon!
