In addition to a whirlwind second day of sightseeing in DC today, we got to see Ovechkin, Backstrom, and the rest of the Washington Caps beat the Atlanta Thrashers at the Verizon Center! Exciting!
We managed to swipe some cheap tickets for the game from a scalper just after the face-off at 5pm. Apparently nobody cares about the Thrashers, so the scalpers were turning desperate. Our tickets turned out to be awesome seats that we should have paid much more for!
The game included almost everything we could have asked for, including lots of goals, fights and dishy women with t-shirt canons.

The five of us attended a game at the Verizon Center [then called the MCI] in 1990 on a family trip to Washington. Great memories! Love these posts...keep em coming! xox
