Today we wandered in circles around Washington DC until our feet ached. It was surprisingly fun to act like proper tourists, stumbling around with map in hand.
Sights seen today include: the Air and Space Museum (everything from the Wright brothers' plane to a piece of the moon), the Smithsonian Museum of American History (i.e. repository for all kinds of cultural craziness, including the first ladies' dresses and a very fuzzy-looking Kermit the Frog), views of the White House (including Michelle's new veggie garden), the Old Post Office ("Best view of DC," according to the park rangers), and plenty of historical buildings in between.
There's plenty more to see! I'm most excited about the natural history museum, of course, which we are going to see tomorrow.

Amazing pics!! Love Washington and its availability to all! Will you get to National Gallery? Don't forget Canadian Embassy across the street and if so inclined, the 'Newseum'(A birthday present from me if you decide to go in - there is a great film at the start) . Larry and I were in Old Post office building but don't think we had access to the tower. Awesome view! Can't wait to hear and see impressions from tomorrow. xox
